Wines of Provence Sainte Victoire
Guided tour
Visiting the town of Aix-en-Provence, it’s going for a walk through its food markets, visiting the Cathedral of the Holy Saviour, Saint Jean de Malte church, passing by the museum Granet, previously the Art School where Paul Cezanne was student, the streets in the Quartier Mazarin…. on the great avenue Cours Mirabeau, les Cafés with their terraces where we could sit and have a coffee, as the locals do.
Rosé Wines of Provence
Then in the afternoon we could go on a sight seeing-tour through the vineyards. I could organize a wine tasting. It will be a great opportunity to try the Rosé wine. We will drive on the road Cezanne, by the Mountain Saint Victoire, it’s for me one of the greatest site in Provence.
Making rosé wines has been a specialty in Provence for generations, an integral part of the « art of living » the region is so well known for.
Wines of Ste Victoire
In 2005, the typicality of Sainte-Victoire wines was recognized with the creation of the denomination Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire.
The lands by the Sainte Victoire Mountain are great quality soil to grow wines. The Provence’s weather, is sunny and dry, with rainy days in spring and autumn, the grapes varieties we grow are Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Ugni blanc, Roll grapes.
All those elements, le terroir, contribute to making a great wines.
