Paul Cezanne is worldwide known, his paintings are in the greatest museums. The collection of the museum Granet presents some of his painting. In 2006 an international exhibition took place in Aix en Provence, his hometown and in Washington. The landscapes around Aix-en-Provence, the stone carrier of Bibémus, the pin trees of the forest of the Château Noir, the mediterranean sea by l’Estaque and of course the great site of the Sainte-Victoire mountain. Symbol of the countryside of Aix-en-Provence, the mountain Sainte Victoire worth an excursion on its hiking trail.

Moustiers Sainte Marie, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence

Moustiers Sainte Marie, one of the most beautiful village in Provence, its gold star protected the village. It’s situated in the Regional Parc of the Verdon Canyon and the lake Sainte Croix.          The view from the chapel Notre Dame de Beauvoir is worth climbing hundreds the steps. The chapel and the church were built on the XII Century.

The countryside is just breathtaking. In June and July the lavender fields are so colorful, it’s a luxury for all the  senses

Then in july and august it’s the bright yellow of the sunflowers that covered all the fields.

The Mediterranean, Cassis, La Ciotat, Sanary sur Mer…

The Camargue

 

The Camargue: delta of the Rhône river, the Camargue is an unique area, delimited by two harms of the Rhône, the north by the city of Arles.

The ideal season to observe the birds are spring and late autumn. Bird lovers can watch them from the Vigueirat Marsh in a nature-ramble.

Les Alpilles: Les Baux de Provence; St Remy de Provence

The mountain chain of the Alpilles is a natural park is fauna and flora is typical of the region.

The village of Saint Remy de Provence has a lot of character, visiting the village and the surrounding you will be surprise by all his historic monuments.

Once you pass the mountain chain you discover all the olive trees fields of the Valley des Baux.

The village of Les Baux has a rich architectural heritage which you can explore by wandering through its narrow cobbled streets,

as far as the wonderful view of the valley: a silvery blue sea of olive trees. Great countryside not far from Arles.

Picasso and the Spanish Master!
